WELLNESS: High-dose glutathione shows promise in addressing respiratory distress in patients with COVID-19 (NaturalHealth365) In some areas across the country, like New York City, even “suspected cases” of COVID-19 aren’t confirmed because of a lack of testing. Unfortunately, this viral infection can become life-threatening as a result of what’s known as “cytokine storm syndrome.” The end result can be pneumonia and other complications like acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). But, as you’ll soon see, glutathione has proven to be a lifesaving antioxidant. To date, no published “cure” has been found to control the respiratory symptoms and inflammation associated with the virus adequately, other than assisted ventilation and oxygen therapy. However, a new study based upon two patients with dyspnea secondary to coronavirus pneumonia found that glutathione shows significant promise in addressing respiratory distress. A New York mom – Josephine Bruzzese – was diagnosed with pneumonia but sent home from the hospital as a suspected COVID-19 case because there were no coronavirus tests currently available. Josephine’s son, James Bruzzese, is a second-year student at CUNY School of Medicine, called a Lyme Disease specialist the family already knew – Dr. Richard Horowitz. After James gave him the rundown, Dr. Horowitz suggested that they try giving Josephine glutathione, which is an antioxidant produced by your liver that helps reduce inflammation. After a single 2,000mg dose of glutathione, the family saw Josephine improve in just an hour. She was able to get up, take a shower, and continued taking the treatment for five days with no relapse.
IN THE NEWS:Defeat dementia naturally with some of the best nutrition on Earth, research confirms (NaturalHealth365) Can we really prevent life-shattering illnesses such as dementia with natural health strategies? Breaking new science says that we can! According to the pharmaceutical industry and the media, ‘there is no cure.’ But, we now know that to be untrue. And, for those in doubt, just look up the work of Dale E. Bredesen, MD. But, there are many other physicians doing fantastic work in the area of neurodegenerative disease. Contrary to popular media opinion, they found that a diet in these foods has a protective benefit against the onset of dementia. They studied a number of different flavonoids found in plant molecules. Researchers found that a low intake in flavanols made a subject two times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease. A low intake in cyanins increased the chances of illness by four times. A low intake in flavonoid polymers made a subject twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related illnesses. Flavanols, cyanins, and flavonoid polymers are not difficult to integrate into your diet. The study focused on green tea, berries, apples, and pears as a source of flavonoids. Other foods that can help are other teas (oolong, white and black), grapes, cocoa, broccoli, lettuce, cranberries, blackberries, kale, and tomatoes. For those who prefer to supplement with micronutrients, cocoa flavonol capsules will help you increase your flavonoid intake. Flavonoids have antioxidant properties. Not only do they prevent Alzheimer’s, but they also decrease the risk of heart attack, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. This is yet another important reason to ensure you eat a flavonoid-rich diet with cardiovascular-related diseases accounting for one in four American deaths.
CHIROPRACTIC: Chiropractic Stories I have suffered from Migraines since the age of 14. So for the last 20 years I have had no luck in anything any doctor has done for me. I was given prescriptions after prescriptions, my body is now immune to almost all pain pills. One of the medicines did help me, however, after taking these pills, my stomach would hurt so bad I would be doubled over. What a choice, the headaches or the pain of the stomach. I choose the stomach pain. I took everything I could, didn’t care, if it worked I took it, if it didn’t I still tried it. When I realized I was up to 8 pills a day, I decided to go to the chiropractor. The first one I went to, well, he was ok, but it didn’t stop the pain. I found one this year, and am so grateful that I did. I am off of all the pills, and my normal week that use to include a minimum of 4 migraines, is gone. I may have 1 bad migraine for the month!!! I am so impressed that I am working on a flyer for my doctor to let other people know that Chiropractors are not just for fixing a strain. I have come to notice that no one really knows exactly what the chiropractor can do, and I am one who is so happy with the work that I am going to help others know about relieving Migraines, carpel-tunnel, TMJ etc… Please keep up the good work!!!!! FUNNY BONE:On the day of my big job interview I woke up late. Frantically I threw on a suit. “OH NO!” I thought. “MY TIE! My Dad was out of town and wasn’t there to help me, and for the life of me I did not know how to tie a tie! I grabbed a tie and ran out the door. “Excuse me sir,” I said to the crossing guard, “I have an important job interview, can you please help me make this tie?!” “Sure” said the guard, “just lie down on this bench.” Well if someone was going to help me I wasn’t going to ask any questions. After he finished and the tie looked good I just had to ask why I had to lie down. “Well in my previous job I learned how to tie tie’s on other people when they were lying down. He replied. What was your previous job? I asked incredulously. “I ran a morg.” Was the reply.@@My mother was browsing in a store when a saleswoman offered assistance. Mom admitted she didn’t have anything particular in mind, and the pair started chatting. The woman quickly learned that Mom was retired. Interested, she confessed that she, too, was considering retirement. Mom immediately started telling her how much she liked no longer working and how the saleswoman would enjoy it too. Finally, convinced by Mom’s enthusiasm, she asked, “How long have you been retired?” Mom said, “This is my first day.” —Lee Beacham@@ We Uber drivers never know whom we’re going to end up with as a passenger. One day, I was driving over a new bridge, the design of which was very confusing. Completely confounded, I muttered, “I’d love to meet the genius who designed this mess.” With that, my passenger extended his hand in my direction and said, “Well, today is your lucky day. My name is Mike, I work for the county engineer’s office, and I’m the genius who designed this!” Surprisingly, he still gave me a tip. —Patrick Grilliot
